Sob'r-K Hangover Stopper recommended dosage of 6 pills during your drinking period is based upon the average drinker drinking 5 to 6 drinks during a 3 hour period. If you are drinking more than the average drinker, you should take more pills. You can take as many Sob'r-K HangoverStopper as you want.

One of the most asked questions about Sob'r-K HangoverStopper is can I use other Activated Carbon pills for a hangover?

NO. There are thousands of types of Activated Carbon. Sob'r-K HangoverStopper has been designed and tested for Hangovers. The majority of the Activated Carbon that is found in health food stores are in granular form. HangoverStopper is in molecular form.

As stated in DO Cooney, Activated Carbon in Medical Application, Ch9, pg. 166, "Studies make it very clear that any tableted or granular form of charcoal would be much less efficacious than finely powdered charcoal and that coated tablets, should not be used".

NO. Temperature will not effect Sob'r-K HangoverStopper. Unless temperature is so hot (above 140 F) the gel-cap melts. If for any reason the gel-cap fails return the bottle and we will replace it.

Having just returned from a week long motor coach and train trip into the Mexican mountains that went almost to the Sea of Cortez and then back, I was again pleased to have known about Sob'r-K and its hangover preventing ability as well as its frequently overlooked ability to relieve food poisoning and diarrhea which we frequently see in other countries that do not have the food handling and water quality standards we are accustomed to in the U.S.

During this trip, several of our group, five to be exact, contracted one of the following: mild food poisoning, Montezuma's Revenge and severe hangovers from the Tequila. Some got sick due to not following instructions to stick to sealed bottled water and no ice with their drinks unless from a source known to be safe. Some drank too much tequila with their meals and some drank it on an empty stomach which is not recommended even by the Mexicans. Except for the ones who drank too much tequila without using Sob'r-K before during and after imbibing (it is tough to cure a hangover after the fact), we were able to rescue our fellow travelers who had other serious problems with preplanned doses of Sob'r-K and had them back in action within a short time.

We have been believers in and users of Sob'r-K for several years now and always have it on hand for our guest during holidays and even more importantly, when we travel. We make sure that we carry enough to assist our friends traveling with us in case they have a problem. It does not cost much to provide relief to them and we certainly don't mind doing so. Several years ago, I got food poisoning, a terrible case, in Hong Kong. Of all places, it was in a Ruby Tuesday's when the cook prepared my hamburger too rare. Looking at the burger after taking a bite and swallowing it, I noticed that he had apparently cooked it with it overlapping another burger thus causing about one half of the burger to go into the bun almost raw. I threw the burger away, but within hours I was in terrible shape. The doctor traveling with us provided me with diarrhea medications, but to no avail. We had to then continue on to Bangkok Thailand where I had to be rushed through the disembarking passengers due to my condition.

We then went on to a town near the Golden Triangle, but when my fellow travelers left to go on tour, I stayed behind. I finally got so sick that I actually went across the street to a Thai hospital and checked in with them. If you could have seen the hospital and the town, you could appreciate that you had to be seriously ill to go there. When I checked in and was seated in the waiting room, the doctor saw me almost immediately, though I was in a group of almost 100 local residents that were also sick or injured. It turned out that he wanted to practice his English on me so he had his nurse pull me out of the crowded waiting area and bring me in. He took my history, temperature and found out how I was treating my condition prior to seeing him. He advised me that I should never take enough Immodium to totally stop the diarrhea when suffering from food poisoning. He explained that the toxins remained with the digestive system and could only be eliminated by sequestering them in an activated material, which would then be passed out of the body, thus stripping the toxins from the mucous lining of the colon. He also put me on an electrolyte due the large volume of fluid I had lost already. Within 24 hours I was whole again and back on the tour.

When I returned to the U.S., I engaged in voluminous research on the internet looking for the particular medication which was Wyeth Entox-P. I found that it was very difficult to get in the U.S. but that it was actually activated attapulgite. This turned out to be a type of kaolin clay that is then activated, which creates tiny passages within it that then absorb the toxins and carry them out of the body. Not having immediate access to this particular medication, I turned to other activated products, one of which was Sob'r-K and found that this product acted in a very similar manner and would actually help speed relief even during a bout of food poisoning. This proof was soon provided to me by one of my fellow travelers and a close friend who delivers my mail on a daily basis back home. We were in Guatemala when she was struck down with food poisoning.  Red Wines -

In some red wines the congeners (congeners in liquor is what causes hangovers) attaches the red pigmentation which in some cases will be too large for the Sob'r-K molecule to attach to. Basically, if you are drinking red wines you may want to take 2 or 3 more pills than normal.
